It’s New Year’s Eve today! Can’t believe that 2015 is practically on our doorstep – where has the time gone?
2014 has been a momentous year for me. So much has happened this year, and if I had to describe 2014 in one word, it would be ‘change.’ I went through so many changes in the area of business, friendship and family and I’ve learnt to embrace every change and make the most of it.
After all, change only build on my character in a positive way; it doesn’t change me completely, I am still the same Fannetta! Change, makes me a stronger person.
I took my first step of faith to start a plus-size fashion blog in August 2014. No doubt, it was the scariest step but an exciting journey of faith, and I am enjoying every bit of it now.
Where I am today… I still have my ups and downs, but I am going to take it easy, one step at a time. Staying focused and determined! I believe every success journey begins with a first step and taking that first step is always the most difficult.
Fear is something many people struggles with, and fear keeps them from succeeding. Fear of failure, fear of being fired, fear of stepping out of their comfort zone, fear of writing, etc. … our mind is constantly battling with fear and eventually creating excuses to chicken out.
Without overcoming our fear, it is impossible to cause a change in life. Sometimes in life, it pays not to think too much or too far. Focus on one realm at a time, taking one simple step at a time, which you feel, comfortable and not intimidated.
Begin by taking one small simple step that you are not afraid of doing it and practically guarantee success. Don’t let fear stops you from trying new things and doing the things you love in this coming new year. The future ahead, holds numerous surprises for you. Be open to changes. Embrace it fearlessly. Have a new mindset.
I want to thank God for His grace and strength; I would not be here without Him. A big thank you to those who have joined me on this blogging journey, and I greatly appreciated all your comments and emails. It helps me keep going when the going is tough. They mean a lot to me, and I hope to hear from more of you in the future.
I know many of you are probably getting ready to party, wherever you will be tonight, as you ring in the new year, stay safe and have a wonderful time.
As the New Year dawns, I hope it is filled with the promises of a brighter and beautiful tomorrow.
I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2015.
